Indigenous people in Canada carry a disproportionate burden of chronic diseases with a tendency to develop them earlier in life with more complications and poorer outcomes. 

This education will focus on Diabetes and kidney disease, supporting quality of life as well as safe management of complex and challenging behaviors. 

Learners will be able to understand chronic diseases better, potential barriers, and the impacts of these conditions on individuals' care needs, promoting a wholistic approach to care.

It is a virtual program provided over three sessions (2 hours each):

Upon completing this program, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion from the SE Health First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Program in partnership with SE Career College of Health.
